About
Who Am I
The name is Jason. I've been working full-time now a bit over 3 years at a Fortune 500 tech company in the ecommerce space — not a FAANG, not a startup. I started out like most people reading this content would — going to a non-T10 university, just doing leetcode mindlessly, applying and asking for referrals wherever I can, and getting nowhere. However, looking back, I definitely see so many things that could've been improved if someone gave me a structured way of navigating this market even though job hunting is ridiculously hard at the moment. I've been a CS tutor for a long time and want to help out those who have been in the place I was at before. Obviously with full transparency, this is also a way to brand myself to make some side hustle on the side while doing what I do best.
I still don't name my employer, because I write frankly about hiring. If you'd rather judge me before paying me: the full sample review is public, and the intro call is free.
Purpose of this site
First, for those that are job hunting — no, I am not here to show you how to get a FAANG offer. It's just not possible. There is no secret formula. However, what I can guarantee is the minimum baseline for those to be confident and qualified in themselves if they ever receive an interview at ANY company excluding Quant firms. I have personally tutored over 150 unique students to date with more than 30 FAANG+ offers for internship, return, and full-time. But that is just my credential and you do not have to believe me. The purpose of my content is to provide structured guidance and increase confidence in my users in the current gloomy and semi-hopeful market. I want to help my users understand where they stand, how to improve, and know when it's just luck vs their own effort.
